Moin Khan gets bail

KARACHI, Jan 16: Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Moin Khan was granted bail on Tuesday by a judicial magistrate of District South in a case registered by his wife for beating her.

Mr Khan was booked by the Darakhshan police under Section 151 Cr PC on the complaint of Tasneem Khan.

Magistrate Khushi Mohammad gave the former Test star bail in the sum of Rs10,000.

Mr Khan was arrested at 3am on Tuesday from his Defence residence after his wife lodged the complaint with the police helpline. The woman alleged that her husband beat her while he was drunk.—A Reporter
