KARACHI, Jan 16: Due to the construction work on main Shahrah-i-Orangi, the number of mini-buses has declined causing difficulties for people. Transporters, Mohammad Ali Khan and Haji Haleem, while talking to this scribe said that due to poor condition of the road their vehicles were developing various faults every now and then, which they could not afford to fix.

“Almost half of our income goes into the pockets of police personnel and what-ever is saved is not sufficient enough for frequent vehicle maintenance”, the transporters added.

The area residents have urged the authorities concerned to expedite uplift work.
