WELLINGTON, Jan 14: Fast bowler Daryl Tuffey moved closer to an international recall on Sunday when he was named in New Zealand's 30-man preliminary squad for the World Cup.

Tuffey, who was formerly New Zealand's pace bowling spearhead, has been out of international cricket for more than two years because of injuries.

Three uncapped players – wicket-keeper Peter McGlashan, spinner Nathan McCullum and all-rounder Mark Orchard – are included in the squad. McCullum is the brother of current New Zealand wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum.
