Aitchison win bridge crown

KARACHI, Jan 13: Aitchison Lahore with 112 victory points (VP) retained their bridge crown of the International School Education Olympiad conducted by the Pakistan Bridge University, a press release of the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF), issued on Saturday, said.

Aitchison having Haris Mazari, Hasan Ansari, Hasan Ghani and Omer Hayat put up an aggressive show trouncing Lecole 25-0 and SISA Lahore 21-9.

In third round, Aitchison defeated Salamat Girls School, an all girls-team from Lahore, 25-5 and SICASB 24-6.

Karachi's Lecole School with Dosti Zahra Jafri, Anam Tebha, Fazila Nazir Vaid and Mohammad Khurram won second position with 87 VPs.

They, after losing an opening round match, recovered to defeat all girls team SGICAS 23-7, SIOSA 22-8 and SICASB 24-3.

SGICAS claimed third position with 69 VPs.—APP
