KARACHI, Jan 13: Paceman Wasim-ur-Rehman claimed five wickets for just five runs in as many overs to bowl Shaheen Gymkhana to a 96-run victory over Qasba Sports in the NBP-KCCA Inter Club Cricket Championship at the KDA Ground here on Friday.
Left-arm spinner Nadeem Khan captured five wickets for 22 as Shaheen Gymkhana were bowled out for 122 in 29 overs. Qasba Sports, in response, crashed to 26 all out in 15 overs, the lowest total of the event so far.
Meanwhile, at the Punjab CC Ground, Rehan Naeem smashed an undefeated 101 with 12 boundaries to steer OK Sports to a six-wicket win against Millat Cricket Club.
In a match played at the Student Ground, Mohammad Zameer Khan Memorial Cricket Club defeated Paposhnagar Cricket Club by 161 runs. Kamil Khan hit an entertaining 74 with 11 boundaries for the winners.
Off-spinner Tabish Nawab got four wickets for 33 and Farhan Anwar got 3-25 as Paposhnagar CC were bowled out for 158 in reply to Mohammad Zameer’s 319-7 in 40 overs.
