JKNSF protests

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF) on Saturday paraded through the streets of Muzaffarabad in protest against the dialogue between India and Pakistan to “divide” the disputed Himalayan region.

The march coincided with the arrival of Indian External Affair’s Minister Pranab Mukherjee who is in Pakistan to hold talks with his counterpart Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri.

The activists raised slogans against the rejection of talks and asked the “alien troops” to quit Kashmir.

The JKNSF marchers were holding red party flags and banners and placards with slogans against the “division” of the territory on them.

The JKNSF advocates complete independence of Kashmir but unlike other pro-independence groups it puts Pakistan at par with India for the plight of Kashmiris. —Correspondent
