SCQ reach semi-finals

PESHAWAR, Jan 12: Senior Civil Quarters routed Pakha Ghulam 5-0 to reach semi-finals of the PHF NWFP Inter-Club Hockey Championship here at the Lala Ayub Stadium on Friday.

Senior Civil Quarters opened their account in the fourth minute through Said Shah. Said defeated three defenders before slamming in a nice goal. Then national camp player Zeeshan scored two quick goals -- in the 13th and 16th minute -- to make it 3-0. First Zeeshan connected Said’s cross and then he dribbled past three defenders before dispatching the ball into the net.

In the second half Senior Civil Quarters continued their domination. In the 54th minute Sajjad Rashid scored the fourth goal on the field attempt before Nawaz Khan made it 5-0 from the top of the circle.—APP
