KARACHI, Jan 11: Four ships carrying chemicals, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where nine ships, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Star to unload and load containers, Amar Muhueddine to load rice, Starling to offload iron scrap, Effy-N to unload coal, El Tango to offload urea, Al-Diyar to unload soyabean meal, Lalazar to unload crude oil and Matina to offload palm oil were berthed.

Six ships, APL Dalian, Myong San, Y.M. Faha, Noni and Courageous departed, while Hyundai Stride, Callian-4, Mol Asante, Y.M. Star, Matina, Lalazar and Eric G. Gibson are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 81,300 tons comprising 19,947 tons of export cargo including 849 tons of rice and 61,353 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Liquid Success, with chemicals, Pac Antalia, Soon Pu with containers and Thor Merchant with general cargo.
