Marriage row leaves four dead

JHANG, Jan 10: Four people were killed in a marriage feud in Chak 143 JB, 20 kilometre from Chiniot. Ahmed Sher Baloch married Maqboolan Bibi, daughter of Sadiq Baloch of Bulhar Jhok and Maboolan’s brother married sister of Ahmed Sher years ago. About a year ago both families disputed over land and the estrangement resulted in ending of both marriages. Sadiq Baloch, the former father-in-law of Ahmed Sher, was planning to marry his divorced daughter. Ahmed Sher, being provoked at the marriage plan of his former wife, stormed into the house of Sadiq, opened fire and killed Nasir and Wajid, sons of Sadiq, Khadim and Bhag Bheri. The accused also abducted his former wife, Maqboolan, and fled. Langrana Police Station have registered a case.
