Minor girl electrocuted

KHAIRPUR, Jan 10: A minor girl was electrocuted in Kandhro Mohalla of Kolab Jial, Kingri taluka, on Wednesday. Four-year-old Rubina, daughter of Wahid Bukhsh Kandhro, suffered electric shock when she touched an electricity pole while playing at a street outside her home.

Later, her relatives with other residents of the town blocked Khairpur-Kolab Jial road where they staged a sit-in for one hour. They were raising slogans against the Hesco officials.

They alleged that a live wire was touching the pole for 10 days and they had informed the Hesco officials about it but they failed to remove it.

ROBBERY: Eight unidentified armed men robbed the passengers of a Karachi-bound passenger coach coming from Punjab on the National Highway near here on Tuesday night.

The bandits robbed the passengers of cash, mobile phones, gold ornaments and other valuable items. After the incident, the passengers staged a protest demonstration on the highway and raised slogans again the police.
