Three killed over ‘domestic dispute’

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Jan 10: Two brothers gunned down their mother, sister and brother on pretext of a domestic dispute and escaped after kidnapping a minor girl in Qambar town on Wednesday.

Sikandar Shah and Sardar Shah — the brothers residing in ‘Katcha colony’ of Qambar town shot dead Ms Badshahzadi 55, (mother), Ayaz Shah 30, (brother) and Ms Farzana 25, (sister), and kidnapped Kainat 8, and fled.

One of the killer’s sisters Ms Rizwana, 17, who took shelter in a nearby rice mill told newsmen in Qambar that her brothers were gamblers and pressing mother for marrying off the sisters on their will. Their request was turned down by the mother which resulted into this bloody incident, she said.

The victim family was living in Karachi and returned three days ago and began living in Qambar in a rented house. They actually belonged to village ‘Tayyab’ (Ratodero), the sources said.

Ms Rizwana, who survived the attack, registered FIR with Qambar police station against her brothers Sikandar Shah and Sardar Shah who fled the scene. She said that her slain family members were innocent.

SHO BOOKED: The SHO and two cops of Ratodero police station were booked in the murder case of Imran Supro, a carpenter whom the police killed late on Monday night after declaring him an outlaw.

Hubb Ali Supro, father of the teenager, registered the FIR under section 302 and 364 against SHO Fayyaz Sahito and constables Shajehan Bhutto and Ghulam Abbas Ghanghro. Police have arrested a cop Shahjehan Bhutto for the murder who had earlier registered a FIR of police encounter against the victim at the same police station.

The SHO is suspended and according to the DPO of Larkana, Mohamemd Azim Tunio, a two-member team comprising ASP city, Nasir Qureshi and DSP Qambar, Mohammed Usman Sabhayo, was constituted to probe the incident.
