KARACHI: Minister visits burnt woman


KARACHI, Jan 10: Sindh Minister for Women Development Dr Saeeda Malik on Wednesday visited Burns Department of the Civil Hospital Karachi to see a woman, Ms Noori, wife of Ishaque, who was burnt by her brother-in-law in Village Mir Goth, Pangrio, Badin district, on January 6.

The minister, accompanied by secretary of her department, inquired about the health of the victim and the treatment being provided to her at the hospital.

She directed officials of the Burns Ward and the Women Centre to ensure provision of all the required medical assistance to the victim.

Dr Malik also assured the patient of every possible assistance and help on behalf of the provincial government.

The minister said the culprit would be apprehended soon and justice would be restored to the victim.—PPI
