PFA names probables

LAHORE, Jan 9: The Punjab Football Association (PFA) has announced the names of 30 probables to attend a training camp which is being held here from Saturday to select a final team to represent the province in the next month 30th National Games football tournament at Karachi.

Lahore-born Siddique Qadri, who represented Pakistan in 12th Asian Cup football at Qatar in 2000, is among the probables along with other 14 Lahore-based players.

The selection committee, headed by former international Imdad Ali Awan with members Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed, Khalid Mehmood Chaudhry and Mian Abdul Bari picked up the probables following two-day trials at Railway Stadium.

Probables:

Lahore : Siddique Qadri, Abdul Waseem, Waqas Hussain, Muhammad Azam, Baber Ahmed, Amir Khan, Syed Salman, Abdul Waqas, Zafar Ahmed, Fahim Qaiser, Muhammad Ajmal, Muhammad Nasir, Kamran Khan, Waqar Ali, Sikander Khan.

Khanewal: Rao Yameen, Ghulam Ali, Fahim Shah

Sahiwal: Nadeem Chaudhry, Kashif Ali

Rahim Yar Khan: Muhammad Jamil, Nadeem Munawar, Imran Iqbal

Sargodha: Adil Ahmed, Faisal Ameer

Pakpattan : Nadeem Tariq, Qamar Rizwan

Faisalabad : Mujahid Ali, Tauqeer Ahmed

Rawalpindi : Muhammad Ali Dar .
