FAISALABAD, Jan 9: A murder convict was hanged in the district jail on Tuesday. Waheed Iqbal of Shad Bagh, Lahore, was handed down death sentence by anti-terrorism court judge Chaudhary Ikram Ahmed for killing Tariq Saeed, owner of a departmental store in Dawood Nagar.

Waheed, along with his two accomplices, had killed Tariq when he tried to foil a dacoity bid.
