Four killed in accident

SHIKARPUR, Jan 9: Four persons were killed and five seriously injured in a road accident on Shikarpur-Jacobabad road near Sultankot on Tuesday.

A car, belonging to Sardar Wahid Bux Bhayo, was carrying school children accompanied by a private security guard and a driver to a Sukkur school from Jagan village. A speedy jeep of the customs department coming from Shikarpur collided head-on with the car.

As a result, Zaibun Nisa, 5, daughter of Sardar Bhayo; Siraj Ahmed, 8, and Nek Mohammad, 18, died on the spot. Driver Mumtaz Ali Bakhrani, Jagan Khan Bhayo, 10, son of Sardar Bhayo; his friend, Ali, 12, a security guard and two Customs policemen were injured and taken to the Civil Hospital, Shikarpur, where the driver also died.
