RAWALPINDI, Jan 8: A 40-year-old under-trial prisoner of Adiala Jail died on Monday. Mohammad Arif, who was arrested by the Chakwal police in a narcotics case, complained of stomach pain on Monday.

The jail authorities said shortly after his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi but he died before reaching the hospital.

SIX INJURED: Six persons were injured during a clash between two groups of traders at Diamond Market, Raja Bazaar.

Police said Haq Nawaz and Gul Nawaz had displayed crockery outside their shop which annoyed another shopkeeper, Mohammad Asif which led to a brawl between them. However, the issue was settled by other traders.

After a while, some people came to the market and started a brawl with Asif and his friends which resulted in the injuries to six persons belonging to both the groups.
