PESHAWAR, Jan 8: Peshawar District Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali has set up a committee to identify and resolve problems hindering development projects in the four towns of the district.

The committee, headed by district naib nazim Razaullah Khan and assisted by director (coordination) Syed Alam Shah, will submit its report to the district nazim.

The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting called to review progress on budget of the city district government.

The meeting also formed another committee for purchase of a new fire brigade vehicle and accessories.

Keeping in view the importance of the matter, Haji Ghualm Ali directed the quarters concerned to ensure early purchase of the fire brigade vehicle.

The meeting also took decisions about resolution of education problems and directed the committee concerned to convene a meeting of EDOs and present a detailed report in this regard.

The district nazim asked for a report about the state of the city roads to initiate repair work where needed.—APP
