KARACHI, Jan 8: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of renowned poet, writer and journalist, Anwer Pirzado. In a condolence message, he said late poet served in the fields of literature and journalism, especially his work on poetry of Shah Latif had huge significance.

Dr Ibad termed Pirzado demise a huge loss for Sindh.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Academy of Letters’ Chairman Iftikhar Arif termed the death of Anwer Pirzado a great loss for Sindhi literature and research field.

Writers, intellectuals, poets and journalists of Sindh, including Jam Saqi, Shamsheerul Hyderi, Nooruddin Sarki, Badar Abro and Nusrat Lashari said the death of Anwer Pirzado had deprived Sindh of an illustrious son.
