China’s tax revenues
BEIJING, Jan 6: China's tax revenues rose 21.9 per cent to 3.76 trillion yuan ($482.5 billion) in 2006, the official Xinhua news agency said in an overnight report. Tax revenues accounted for more than 18 per cent of the country's gross domestic product, Xinhua quoted Xie Xuren, director of the State Administration of Taxation, as saying at a national conference on Friday. The figure does not include customs duties and agricultural taxes.—Reuters
