Rauf to get all facilities in jail

RAWALPINDI, Jan 5: Civil judge Rawalpindi Muhammad Hakeem Khan has directed Adiala Jail superintendent to provide all the facilities as per jail manual to the accused Rashid Rauf arrested in London plane plot case.

He issued these directives during hearing of an application moved by Rashid Rauf seeking facilities of B class in the jail.

Accused Rashid Rauf was presented in the court of civil judge Rawalpindi Muhammad Kaleem under strict police security on Friday.

Hashmat Habib counsel of the accused submitted before the court that facilities were not being provided to his client in the jail, therefore, the jail authorities be directed to allow facilities of B class to him in the jail.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 9, 2007.—Online
