LAHORE, Jan 5: The Punjab government has decided to increase punishment for the misuse of places of worship. The misuse of loudspeaker (at the places of worship) will now entail a punishment of three-month jail and Rs1,000 fine. Earlier, the sentence was up to one-month imprisonment. The decision was taken by the provincial cabinet which met here on Friday. Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi presided over the meeting.
