Five injured in grenade attack

QUETTA, Jan 5: Five persons belonging to the same family were injured in a grenade attack at the house of a lawyer in Satellite town area on Friday night. According to the police, two people riding a motorcycle first opened fire at the main gate of the house of Chaudhary Mohammad Rafiq of the Balochistan High Court and later lobbed a hand grenade inside it. The grenade landed in the courtyard where it exploded.

“All the five members of the family were present in the sitting room when the grenade exploded in the courtyard of the house,” said the police, adding that they were injured due to the shattered windowpanes. Soon after the explosion the police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the hospital.
