Robbers continue looting spree

LAHORE, Jan 4: Robbers took away cash and valuables in several hits in the city on Thursday. Two dacoits burst into a franchise of Al Warid company at Kareem Market in Gulshan Iqbal, held up the employees and escaped with Rs442,000 and a cell phone.

Three armed people barged into Lalu’s house in Gujjarpura and took away cash and other valuables worth Rs150,000.

Two motorcyclists forced their entry into Latif General Store on Shah Kamal Road in Millat Park and made off with Rs100,000 and valuables from Amir.

Two people came to a bakery at Ali Market in Gulshan Iqbal and snatched cash in thousands from Shahbaz.

Two armed motorcyclists intercepted a textile employee, Muhammad Tariq, in Shadbagh area and snatched Rs3,000, a cell phone and a motorcycle (LRQ-2867) from him while unidentified swindlers deprived Dr Sheraz of Rs3,500 and his cell phone on Zafar Ali Road in Ghalib Market area.

Two bandits intercepted motorist Farooq near Bank Al-Habib in Iqbal Town and looted cash in thousands at gunpoint.

STOLEN: Three motorcycles were stolen from Garden Town, Mughalpura and Old Anarkali areas.
