SIALKOT, Jan 4: A day-long seminar on “Implications of the WTO regime on sports goods and surgical instruments industries” will be held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Jan 9 by the WTO cell of the Punjab government’s planning and development department.

Adviser to Punjab government on WTO Inamul Haque, WTO cell chief Muhammad Ejaz Husain, SCCI director (R&D) Khawar Idrees, DCO Rizwanullah Baig, chamber president Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal and more than 200 representatives of various trade bodies throughout the country will participate in the seminar.

SCCI director Khawar Idrees told newsmen here on Thursday that the WTO think tanks would focus on core problems and burning issues of sports goods and surgical instruments sectors.
