KARACHI: Offal disposal arrangements lauded

KARACHI, Jan 4: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Katchi Abadis and Spatial Development Mohammad Hussain on Thursday commended the arrangements made by city government and all town administrations for the lifting of offal and ensuring cleanliness during Eid days, saying that the measures proved very successful.

He visited various localities and personally monitored offal lifting, transportation and dumping for disposal at the designated sites on Eid days. During the visit, people thanked him and said such arrangements showed the sincerity on the part of the city government and town administrations.

The minister said that the plan for the entire offal disposal process and overall cleanliness had been executed in such a way that people could notice a visible change vis-à-vis the arrangements.

The minister acknowledged that the success was achieved due to the utmost cooperation of town nazims, naib nazims and councilors who ensured their presence to personally monitor the cleanliness campaign. Their presence, he added, ensured effective collection of offal from even inner streets of various towns.

He also appreciated untiring efforts put in by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, who was available to them on all the three days visiting each town to monitor the situation.—PPI
