KARACHI: HSC suppl exams

KARACHI, Jan 4: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi has once again decided to accept forms pertaining to all groups of HSC supplementary examinations, scheduled to commence on January 10.

A BIE notification said in order to provide a chance to the leftover candidates, the board had decided to accept examination forms and fees of all groups of HSC supplementary examinations, 2006, with a late fee of Rs1,000 up to January 8.

Candidates have been asked to submit their respective forms and fee directly in the accounts section of BIE after necessary endorsement from the section concerned.

In the meantime, the BIE has confirmed that as many as 45 examination centres, including 21 for woman candidates would be set up in city colleges for supplementary examination.

So far 25,132 candidates, including 10,533 women, have been registered for the supplementary exams.

A total of 3,954 candidates have applied for pre-medical group, while another 6,827 for pre-engineering exams.

In the Humanities group as many as 7,061 regular and private candidates have been registered so far, while another 7,222 regular and private candidates have been registered as candidates for Commerce group supplementary exams.
