KARACHI, Jan 4: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT, MPT and EPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four more ship carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy rose to 80 per cent as seven ships, Andrews Swala, Entaliana Annie Sierra, Alexandra-T, Ibn-Bassam, Warbah and Eastern Bright are currently occupying berths to load and offload containers, edible oil, rice, HSD oil and chemicals.

Cargo handling was slow totalling 26,769 tons comprising 17,223 tons of import and 9,546 tons of export tonnage.

Sailings were active as Andrews Swala, Eastern Bright and Warbah left the port.
