He was apparently dissatisfied from the briefing given to him at Lakhra power plant where some officials told him that water normally got evaporated in the plant and was not released into river.

He asked plant authorities to provide him complete diagram of process indicating the system of lifted the water from the river and then it’s discharge into the river after use.

He told newsmen on Sunday that water was used in power plant and then it was collected at a place but the plant management said that water got evaporated here and was not released into the river.

He said that administration of a multi-national pharmaceutical company of the area has also been asked to provide him complete diagram of the water treatment process.

The DCO also visited the Jamshoro thermal power house and issued similar directives to chief engineer Abu Adil.

The chief engineer said that the DCO was informed that water was used for cooling of machinery of the plant and then it was released into the Indus.
