Live shell found

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Dec 29: A live shell was found from a nullah situated near the railway line in Raheemabad (the Airport Police area) on Friday. Police and bomb disposal experts said the shell was believed to be the left-over of Ojhri camp tragedy.

Some passers-by spotted the shell lying near the nullah and informed the local police. The police and the bomb disposal experts reached the spot and defused the shell which was lying around 100 meter away from the main Chaklala road used for VVIP movements. “It was containing the explosive material, but without a fuse. Later, the 24 inches long shell was defused,” a bomb disposal expert said.
