LARKANA, Dec 29: Pointing out difficulties being experienced by the people of Larkana emerging out of decreased number of flights, Khalid Iqbal Memon MNA, has suggested to PIA management to reschedule flights to facilitate intending air passengers of the city.
In a letter addressed to PIA chairman Tariq Kirmani, he said that the people of Larkana were facing tremendous difficulties due to curtailed number of flights from 19 to two.
He said that passengers hailing from Larkana, Qambar-Shahdadkot and the adjoining areas intend to travel to Islamabad from Sukkur, but were unable to do so amid deteriorating law and order conditions.
The PIA flight PK-391 lands at Sukkur at 7pm and due to the deteriorated law and order conditions, passengers avoid to travel to Larkana by road, the MNA said.
Under the circumstances he suggested to PIA chairman that flight PK-392/393 may touch Mohenjodaro twice a week on Friday and Tuesday, keeping in view the schedule so that people may fetch the last evening flight from Karachi to Islamabad or Lahore. Also the flight PK-390/391 may touch Mohenjodaro at least twice a week, he added.
