Widow appeals for help

SEHWAN (Jamshoro), Dec 28: Apprehending her kidnapping and death at the hands of relatives of her deceased husband, with the alleged backing of the District Police Officer of Jamshoro, a widow of Sehwan, Ms Mah Bibi 78, has sought intervention of provincial adviser to the chief minister on home affairs and provincial police officer in the matter.

Accompanied by her brother Lal Mohammad and nephew Mujahid, she told newsmen here on Thursday, that she had rented out her shop to a doctor, Ali Asghar Soomro, about eight years back who, instead of paying her rent, had occupied the premises with the help of her husband's relatives.

She said that a local court had also announced the judgment of the case in her favour. She alleged that when she went to get the possession of her shop, the doctor and relatives of her husband thrashed her up.

She alleged that her opponents approached the DPO of Jamshoro, Aarib Mahar and the TPO of Sehwan, Syed Baqar Raza Shah, who called her brother Lal Mohammad and nephew Mujahid to his office where, without going through the court verdict, arrested her brother and nephew and sent them to jail.
