KARACHI, Dec 28: Eight ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load rice and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Conti Esperance, Y.M. Faha, Hyundai Stride to unload and load containers, Windsor Ruby to load vehicles, Capetan Lefteris to unload DAP fertiliser and Shalamar to unload crude oil were berthed.

Five ships, Norasia Tegasos, Corin Thaikos, APL Osaka, Stolt Virtue and Lalazar departed on Thursday, while Hyundai Advance, Conti Esperance, Ievoli Splendor, Shalamar and Windsor Ruby are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.102m tons comprising 32,423 tons of export cargo including 2,234 tons of rice and 69,925 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Banga to load 35,000 tons of naphtha, Iran Sattari, Soon Fu, Kota Merdesa, Global Prosperity to unload and load containers, George to load 8,500 tons of rice, Sibi and Heng Shan to unload and load general cargo.
