More facilities to UAF pledged

FAISALABAD, Dec 27: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool has urged students to render need-base services for the prosperity of small farmers. He was talking to University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) students on Wednesday.

He said more facilities were being provided to the UAF, as new faculties would be setup during the phase II.

Under this Rs5.5 billion project, new classrooms, laboratories and a veterinary hospital would be constructed in future. He said six news hostels were also being built to resolve residential problems of students, he said.

The governor urged the banks to introduce new loan schemes for young graduates to utilise their knowledge and experiences in their own specific fields.

He asked the university administration for provision of LCD screens, AV aids, and other modern equipment at departmental level.

The governor was also briefed by the university administration regarding its academic performance.

Earlier, Khalid Maqbool visited the main library, faculties and inaugurated a newly constructed internet cafe at hostels.
