A narrow escape

OKARA, Dec 27: A religious party activist had a close shave on Wednesday when a parcel bomb he received failed to explode. Two motorcyclists, unidentified so far, came to the house of Ahl-i-Hadith activist Abu Bakr in Kot Noor Muhammad and left a parcel for him. He opened the parcel that turned out to be a homemade bomb. It somehow failed to detonate. A two-man bomb disposal team examined the parcel bomb weighing about two kilogramme and said it could not explode owing to a battery fault. — Correspondent
