KARACHI, Dec 26: The enterprises and investment promotion (E&IP) department of the city government has cancelled the no-objection certificates (NOCs) of 18 weekly bazaars being held on parks, playgrounds, greenbelts and service lanes.

In this regard, a list of 18 weekly bazaars have been issued to all town administrations to implement the orders of the city government and not allow any individual to hold such bazaars on parks, playgrounds etc.

The 18 weekly bazaars are: Tuesday Bachat Bazaar at 13-B, Gilani Railway Station; Wednesday Bachat Bazaar at Disco Bakery, Thursday Bachat Bazaar at Rabia City, Friday Bachat Bazaar at Block 2, Moti Mahal; Saturday Bachat Bazaar at Disco Bakery, Thursday Bachat Bazaar at Mosmiat (Met Office), Friday Bachat Bazaar near Gilani Railway Station (all the seven in Gulshan Town), Wednesday Bachat Bazaar at KBR North Nazimabad Town, Sunday Bachat Bazaar at Block 15, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Thursday Bachat Bazaar at Sector 14, Block L, Orangi Town, Saturday Bachat Bazaar at Orangi 10, Saturday Bachat Bazaar at ST-12, Metrovillel, SITE Town; Friday Bachat Bazaar near Sindbad at Clifton in Saddar Town; Saturday Bachat Bazaar near St Patrick’s, Lines Area, Saddar Town; Sunday Bachat Bazaar at Allahdad Ground in Landhi Town, Monday Bachat Bazaar at Quaidabad in Landhi, Monday and Wednesday Bachat Bazaars at Zamanabad, Korangi No 4.

CARPETING: The city government has completed carpeting on Road 9000 in North Karachi for the convenience of people visiting the Cattle Market on the Super Highway via Saba Cinema and Shafiq Morr. The visitors from North Karachi, New Karachi, Orangi Town, Surjani Town and adjacent areas can now utilise the road to reach the Cattle Market bypassing Sohrab Goth.
