KARACHI, Dec 26: About 25,000 candidates are likely to appear in the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, HSC Supplementary examinations which will commence on January 10, said a BIE official on Tuesday.

The official said that papers of the Science and Home Economics group will start from January 10, while those of the Commerce and Arts (Regular and Private) Groups will be conducted from January 15. The board will set up around 50 examination centres in different city colleges for the supplementary examinations, the official added.

It was further learnt that the BIE had finalised the schedule and details of centres for HSC Science examinations, while plans for Commerce and Humanities groups will be finalised as soon as the examination forms acceptance process was completed.

About 4,000 candidates are likely to sit for Science Pre-Medical examinations, while another 7,000 have registered for Pre-Engineering examinations, the official said.

ANNUAL 2007: A BIE notification said that examination forms for Private candidates of HSC Part-I or Part-I and II (combined) Annual examination 2007 for Humanities (Private), Commerce (Private) Benefit cases and Improvement of Division for all groups and additional subject were available only at the sales counter of HBL, Hussain D Silva Town, Branch in the BIE premises from December 28. Each form costs Rs25 only.

Candidates are advised to submit forms without late fee from December 28 to January 29. Forms will be accepted with a late fee of Rs100, Rs300 and Rs1,000 up to February 13, March 5 and March 15 respectively.

The regular candidates of Part-I for all groups should contact their respective colleges, as the schedule for submission of forms for college students has already been announced, said the BIE notification.

REGISTRATION: The registration forms of private candidates of Humanities and Commerce Groups appearing in HSC Annual examination 2007 will be accepted without late fee till January 10.

Forms with late fees of Rs100 and Rs200 can be submitted up to January 23 and February 6 respectively. Forms will be accepted with a late fee of Rs300 from February7 onwards.
