KARACHI: 22 vehicles, 41 phones taken away

KARACHI, Dec 26: At least 41 cellphones and 22 vehicles including 12 cars and 10 motorcycles were taken away from different parts of the city on Tuesday.

Police officials said 20 cellphones were snatched at gunpoint and 17 mobile phones were reported stolen while four sets were reported missing.

The police said three cars were snatched at gunpoint and 9 were reported stolen. Similarly, four motorcycles were snatched and six reported stolen on Tuesday.

ACCIDENT: An elderly woman died in a road accident near the Natha Khan bridge.

Police said that 60-year-old Noorun Nisa was crossing the main Sharea Faisal when a speeding minibus knocked her down.

The victim died on the spot. Police said that the errant driver escaped leaving behind the vehicle.
