KARACHI, Dec 26: Six ships carrying containers, DAP fertiliser and to load general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where over a dozen ships were berthed during the last two days. They are Bunga Tersek, Wan Hai-315, Dong He, Mol Kauri, Corin Thaikos, Iran Hesabi to unload and load container, Sultan-1 to load general cargo and Syria Star to load general cargo.

They were followed by Blue Star to unload soyabean meal, Halis Kalkawan to offload sunflower seeds, Swat and Lalazar to offload crude oil, Bow Vallaby and Stolt Courage to offload chemicals and Grace-A to unload furnace oil.

The ships which departed were led by Banga, Irika, Sultan-1, Kama Bhum, Oel Aishwarya, Pontonikis, Bow Vallaby, Bung Tersek and Wan Hai-315, Asdrubal, Shaheen Al-Chanim-10, Oel Esteem, Badulu Valley, Swat, Dong He, Stolt Courage, Mol Kauri and Katina. While Grace- A, Iran Hesabi, Lalazar, Norasia Tegaos and Vinshin Sun are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.278m tons comprising 75,752 tons of export cargo and 0.202m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Y.M. Faha, Hyundai Advance, Conti Esperance and Y.M. Sun with containers, Agnes Scan to load general cargo and Captain Lefteris, with 36,828 tons of DAP fertiliser.
