TEHRAN, Dec 24: Iran has hanged in public three men convicted of drug trafficking and armed robbery in Zahedan, the capital of the southeastern Sistan-e Baluchestan province, the ISNA news agency reported on Sunday. The first man was identified as Mohammad, convicted of kidnapping, banditry and trading more than 220 kilos of opium. The second was identified as Changiz, convicted of banditry, armed robbery and murdering two people, while the third man hanged was identified as Ali, convicted of possessing 16 kilos of heroin.—AFP
