LARKANA, Dec 23: Promising students of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) Job Skill Training Centre have prepared ‘Sindhi keyboard’ software which makes use of Sindhi unicodes earlier developed by Majid Bhurgri in web page designing.

When a user types in Sindhi, the software will create its placement alongside its particular source code number and display it. ‘Sindhi keyboard’ is a valuable addition to Majid Bhurgri’s work who was the first to develop Sindhi unicodes, said M. B. Soomro, the director of SZABIST Job Skill Training Centre on Saturday.

The keyboard was one among a host of software, applications, websites and programmes put on display in the fourth annual software and websites exhibition at SZABIST Job Skill Training Centre.

The subjects of more than 40 websites developed by young designers included karo-kari, Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), literature, culture, education and women’s rights.

A website was dedicated to the life and works of renowned Sindhi poet ‘Ustad Bukhari’, which also contains the great poet’s verses.

A site dealt with Balochistan (me at Balochistan) alongside another interesting website on Hinduism, which was full of information about Hindu religion.
