Refund system

FAISALABAD, Dec 23: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) is launching a pilot project, comprising software database from January 2007 to streamline the refund system pertaining to different claims, categories and claimants.

"The ultimate objective of this project is to facilitate the exporters by expeditious processing of claims through semi-automated system", said Ms Musarrat Jabeen, member Sales Tax CBR while speaking to members of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) here on Saturday.

The system, she said, would process different kinds of claims at a time.She said that software is also being developed containing MIS (Multiple Information System) to prepare accurate reports on various issues.—APP
