SRINAGAR, Dec 22: Indian police fired tear gas to quell protests that erupted here on Friday over the deaths of two civilians caught in a shootout between troops and suspected rebels, witnesses said. Seven others were also injured in the gunbattle that erupted at Sopore.—AFP
