Autonomy talks in progress: Shujaat

ISLAMABAD, Dec 22: PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Friday that the process of consultation on a provincial autonomy bill was in progress. He was talking to Chief of Balochistan National Party (Awami) Senator Mir Israrullah Zahri who called on him at his residence here. Senator Zahri presented his party's proposals regarding provincial autonomy. He suggested that for removing the reservations of the people of Balochistan, those coming to Gwadar from other provinces should not be given the right to vote for 15 years.

Chaudhry Shujaat said Senator Zahri’s proposals were positive and would be considered during the next meeting of the parliamentary committee.—APP
