KARACHI: No activity at city courts

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 22: Legal proceedings remained suspended on Friday in the city courts due to the strike call. The courts premises wore a deserted look as staff and litigants did not turn up as public transport was off road.

Lawyers also stayed away and stamp vendors did not open their business. The two public canteens on the city court premises remained closed. Judges and judicial magistrate, who arrived in their official vehicles, confined themselves in their chambers as hearing of the cases were put off. The UTPs were also not shifted from the jails to the court.
