HYDERABAD, Dec 22: A large number of Shia Ulema Council activists staged a protest sit-in outside Qadamgah Moula Ali after Friday congregation to protest against inordinate delay in the arrest of murderers of Allama Hassan Turrabi.

Speaking on the occasion, the acting president of the council’s Sindh chapter, Allama Altaf Al-Hussaini, Syed Kazim Hussain Shah Naqvi, Nizamul Hyderi and Syed Moazzam Shah Naqvi said that Allama Turrabi was murdered in cold blood six months ago but the accused had not still been arrested.

The Shia leaders called on the Hyderabad district government to repair mourning procession routes in the city before Muharram.

They demanded proper security arrangements during the coming Aushra.—Bureau Report
