KARACHI, Dec 22: Five ships carrying raw jute and sunflower seeds are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Precious, to unload and load general cargo, Oel Aishwarya, Clavin P. Titus, Oel Esteem and Iran Kordestan to unload and load containers and Asdrual to unload chemicals were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Y.M. Fortune, Harmony and C. Emerald, while Calvin P. Titus, Iran Tabatabaei and Banga are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 73,017 tons comprising 27,419 tons of export cargo and include 6,380 tons of rice and 45,598 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Syria Star, with 11,000 tons of raw jute, Halis Kalkavan, with 24,400 tons of sunflower seeds, Stlot Courage, with chemicals, Kama Bhum and Bunga Terasek with containers.
