Shaukat slams four goals

LAHORE, Dec 21: Four-goal Shaukat Ali Malik guided Security 2000 to a 9-4 win against Master Paints in Punjab Police polo cup on Thursday. Playing with two-goal handicap, the winners led the first chukker 5-1 as Shaukat slammed in two goals while Ahsan Javed Sher one. Ashfaq opened the losers' account.

No goal was scored in the second chukker as the winners surged ahead 7-2 in the third when Shaukat pumped in two more. Shah Shamyl Alam scored one for the losers.

In the fourth chukker, Sameer Habib Oberoi added two goals for the winners while Shamyl scored as many for the losers to complete the tally.

Four-goal Ahmed Ali Tiwana helped Candy Land earn a facile 9- 4 1/2 win against Punjab Police.

Vishal Singh from India also added three goals for the winners while Asif Tiwana two.

For the losers, who had a half-goal handicap, Saqib Khan Khakwani (2), Faaiz Rahim Khan and Hissam Ali Hyder added one goal each.

In another one-sided match Dewan Motors blasted Sukh Chan 8-4 as James Harper and Abdul Haseeb Mehta scored three each. Kashif Jamal and Ahmed Zubair added one goal each. The losers' goal came from Taimur Ali Malik (3) and Taimur Mawaz Khan (1).
