Two families robbed of Rs1m

PESHAWAR, Dec 21: A gang of 10 dacoits robbed two houses in Mohalla Satian of Peshawar on Thursday. Owned by cousins Abdul Latif and Mirza Khan, the two houses were connected through a door between them.

According to the affected families, the dacoits barged into the houses, thrashed the women there and held them at gunpoint. Later, they collected Rs1 million in cash, 300gm of gold and other valuables.

The valuables looted included the dowry of Abdul Latif’s daughter. After the incident, the residents of Mohalla Satian took to the streets in protest and blocked the Tehsil road.
