No deal with govt: PPP


ISLAMABAD, Dec 21: People’s Party Parliamentarians secretary-general Jehangir Badar has termed reports of a deal between his party and the government propaganda. In an interview with a private TV channel, he said the PPP believed in politics of principles and would never enter into a deal with any government for getting power.

He said the PPP had supported the government on the Women Protection Bill as per the party policy and manifesto. He said the PPP had opposed the Hudood Ordinance introduced by then military dictator Gen Ziaul Haq.—Online
