Pakistan to take part in Hannover tools show

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Dec 21: The Engineering Development Board (EDB) will take a delegation of engineering companies to the European Machine Tools Show-2007 in Hannover, Germany.

According to an EDB statement, the trade fair, to be held from Sept 17 to 22 promises to open up opportunities for Pakistani engineering companies to observe latest technological trend in the metalworking field, benchmark their products against technological standards and acquire new technologies to compete globally.

This is happening at a time when large investment opportunities have appeared in Pakistan in the field of component manufacturing because of double digit growth in the auto household goods sector.

Pakistani investors have the opportunity to choose from the latest manufacturing techniques, giving them competitive edge in the global supply chain.

EMO would present a wide spectrum of products and technologies, from cutting and forming machine tools and production systems as the core of industrial production to precision tools, automated material flow; software and controllers for all manufacturing technologies; automation systems and components; measuring testing, and quality management systems.
